MCEA lawyer Mary Marrow will explain why dirty tar sands oil is bad for Minnesota, the U.S. and Canada on the public affairs show Almanac.

Mary Marrow will appear on TPT Public Television’s Almanac show, which airs tonight at 7 p.m., to talk about the Canadian Tar Sands and the Enbridge pipeline in northern Minnesota.

Marrow, a Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy lawyer, has been involved in the state and federal cases, along with Legal Director Kevin Reuther, against government agencies which approved permits for the dirty tar sands oil pipeline.

Marrow will explain why this pipeline, and the oil it contains, is bad for the United States and bad for Minnesota and why the oil is unneeded.

More information on the tar sands and MCEA’s work to stop the pipeline can be found in the legal advocacy section of the web site. In addition, National Geographic Magazine did a great piece on the tar sands.
