Lead pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul

Carol is a Lutheran (ELCA) pastor, serving as lead pastor of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul, a congregation very involved in the caring for creation movement of faith communities.  She has formerly served on the board of MNIPL, the Minnesota affiliate of Interfaith Power and Light (formerly known as Congregations Caring for Creation).  She has served as a pastor of a mountain retreat community committed to environmental justice, as well as of an international, ecumenical congregation (Stockholm, Sweden), both contexts offering alternative visions for environmental responsibility.  She regularly leads pilgrimages to the Iona Community in Scotland and Holden Village in the Cascade Mountains of Washington.  She received a B.A. degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and a M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School.
