When MCEA was founded in the early 1970s, it wasn’t uncommon for there to be regular air quality advisories in the Twin Cities, not unlike what we experienced this summer. The difference being that 50 years ago, the pollution wasn’t coming from forest fires, it was coming from unregulated industrial pollution.
