Video: Drinking water in MN's karst region is at risk
Southeast Minnesota, known for its proud farming history, and porous ground, is facing a drinking water crisis. The region's unique "karst" landscape is amplifying the pollution impact from industrial agriculture, contaminating private and public well water.
High levels of nitrate pollution are contaminating well water, and threatening the health of over a quarter million Minnesotans in the karst region. Everyone deserves safe drinking water.
