The correct answer is C!
The answer is C. The two bodies of water are the Mississippi River from the Ford Dam in St. Paul to Hastings Dam (known as Pool 2) and Lake Rebecca near Hastings.
In July, the Minnesota Department of Health, DNR, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency recommended that children under age 15, people who are or could become pregnant, and those who are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed should avoid eating fish caught in two water bodies in the Twin Cities metro area. This recommendation came after new data showed a mixture of pollutants including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the fish.
Once PFAS enter our water, there is no easy way to get rid of the forever chemicals. This is why stopping the manufacture of these chemicals is so important. We have to stop the pollution at its source, because if we don’t we’ll see the continued spread in every part of our lives. And we need to hold the industrial polluters like 3M accountable for the costs to clean up the contamination in our environment.
